Spot fur seals at Prague Zoo

Penguins, lions, tigers and elephants – you can see them all at Prague Zoo, located about 6 kilometres outside of the city centre. The zoological gardens flaunt about 10 kilometres of walking trails, so it's well worth a visit, not just for the animals, but also for the pleasant countryside scenery. Exhibitions are split into zones, including Elephant Valley, Hippo House and Lemur Island. Also not to be missed here is the fur seal display -- where you can watch the animals dive and swim underwater.
Explore the heart of the old town, Staromestske namesti

Head to Prague's Old Town Square, or Staromestske namesti, between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge and you'll step back in time. It's home to the Prague Orloj, the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world. Built in the medieval times, it's now the world's oldest functioning clock. At the top of every hour, 12 mechanical apostles parade between small doorways above the face of the clock. You'll find plenty more of the city's historic buildings – such as the Church of Our Lady before Tyn and the Stone Bell House as you explore this historic square.
Stroll along Charles Bridge

The oldest bridge in Prague offers photo-worthy views across the Vltava River. Local legend says eggs were used to create the mortar when it was built in the 14th century, and it's still standing strong today. Stroll across it and spot the 30 intricate statues of saints, including the statue of St. John of Nepomuk, which line the waterway. Top tip: for a birds-eye view of this intricate bridge with Prague Castle in the background, climb to the top of the bridge tower in the Old Town.
Marvel at Prague Castle

Another must-see is Prague Castle. Built in the 9th century and stretching over an astonishing 45 hectares, it's the largest ancient castle complex in the world and towers over the Vltava River, overlooking the heart of the city. With its well-maintained courtyards, historical palaces and lush gardens, you could easily spend a full day here.The gothic St Vitus Cathedral is probably the jewel in the complex's crown – as well as the charming Golden Lane, lined with colourful houses which were originally home to the castle guards.
