Don’t Miss the Show at Djemaa el-Fna

Located in the main square in Marrakesh, Djemaa el-Fna has been home to halqa, or street theatre, since the 11th century. Visitors will be greeted by throngs of acrobats, dancers, musicians, fortune tellers and snake charmers, ready to put on a show. This eclectic mix of exhibitionists provides an energetic celebration of Moroccan culture, bringing urban legends and ancient history to life through local hikayat, or storytellers. Join in with the communal games, adorn yourself with an intricate henna tattoo and sample the tantalising tajines or spicy snail broths. As night falls, sit back and enjoy the atmosphere from one of the rooftop cafés dotted around the square.
Travel Back in Time in Fez Medina

Also known as Fez El Bali, Fez Medina is the largest car-free urban area in the world. Lose yourself in this walled city, home to an intricate labyrinth of lanes full of traditional architecture and ornamental entranceways, such as the Blue Gate and Bab Guissa. Other impressive sites include the University of al-Qarawiyyin, with its vibrant painted ceramic tiling, and the towering minaret of R’cif Mosque, overlooking the market square. Visit Volubilis, Rich in Roman History

Witness the impressive columns rising from the desert sands as you approach Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved archaeological site. Even with only half of this thriving Roman city having been excavated, visitors can still immerse themselves in ancient history whilst wandering around the solid stone structures that include thermal baths, a triumphal arch, a basilica and the Capitol building. Follow in the footsteps of gladiators and marvel at the still pristine mosaic floors adorning the opulent houses. After browsing the onsite museum, showcasing the most celebrated finds, stick around to watch the sunset through the ruins, revealing their true majesty.
Take Some Time Out in Kasbah des Oudaias

Perched on a hilltop overlooking Morocco’s capital of Rabat, sits the quaint citadel of Kasbah des Oudaias. It is well worth strolling along its cobbled streets and witnessing the white-washed walls interspersed with vibrant splashes of colour. Take the weight off your feet as you sip some local tea and watch the world go by, or browse the various different souks offering up a range of local produce. Relax in the beautiful Andalusian gardens or soak up the stunning views from the semaphore platform, either over the river to the city of Salé or stretching out across the sea.
