From high-end safari lodges to sleek city hotels in fashionable neighbourhoods, Marriott Bonvoy’s newest properties offer an exciting diversity of accommodation choices in destinations across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Be one of the first guests through the door at these stunning new hotels.
Nestled in the wildlife-rich Masai Mara National Reserve of Kenya, the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge, set on the banks of the Talek River, is the brand’s first luxury safari property. Set out on game drives to watch the famous wildebeest herds of the Great Migration or to find the Big Five, before sundowners overlooking the savannah. Boasting private decks with Jacuzzis, the tented suites are the perfect place to decompress between activities, perhaps with a massage surrounded by the sounds of nature at Spa by JW.
Westin Hotels and Resorts’ first Turkish hotel, The Westin Istanbul Nisantasi is in the buzzing shopping district of Nişantaşı. Sharing a complex with the new Lotus Walk shopping centre, the hotel is an ideal base for browsing designer boutiques and art galleries. The 150 guest rooms overlook the courtyard or the city – pick a room with a balcony and enjoy an alfresco coffee as Istanbul wakes up. Dine at Corte Verde, the all-day Mediterranean restaurant, and keep your fitness regime on track in the WestinWORKOUT gym.
Set in a new waterfront regeneration area in Millbay, the design of Moxy Plymouth is nautically themed, with maritime murals and ceilings adorned with fishing nets and star constellations. The hotel's location enjoys the best of both worlds: you have easy access to the striking visuals of the docks, but also to the city centre – the Theatre Royal, Royal William Yard and other Plymouth attractions, independent bars and restaurants are all within walking distance. Guests are served a signature cocktail upon arrival, after which you can check into your smart, comfortable room. Dogs are welcome, too, making it an ideal destination for a UK staycation, or you might include the hotel on a wider South West UK itinerary.
Stradom House, Autograph Collection has a rich past – the building in which it is housed previously served as a church, a monastery and a hospital – and the hotel's design incorporates some historical details. Set between Krakow’s Jewish district and Royal Quarters, this new hotel is the perfect base for exploring one of Poland’s oldest cities. After a day's exploration, you can book yourself into the Sol SPA, which also has a 20-metre swimming pool. Dine at John Dory, the hotel’s seafood restaurant, or the Mediterranean-inspired Gaia, and enjoy a nightcap at Hedwig’s Club in the converted chapel.
Tromsø's 'breath of fresh air' status – with its Arctic Circle skies and proximity to Norway's stunning fjords – has only been amplified by the arrival of Moxy Tromsø. The hotel's crisp contemporary lines are a stylish addition to the city's mountain-backed skyline of colourfully painted wooden buildings. Its towering floor-to-ceiling windows, meanwhile, take the impact of being in this far-northerly landscape to the next level – enjoy it, refreshing drink in hand, from the hotel's Sky Bar Moxy. Step inside and murals created by local artists grab your attention, before the 208 guest rooms, with their walk-in showers and fine views envelop you in comfort.
Gracing the Sicilian beachfront, and close to Taormina and Mount Etna, the lounges, bar and restaurants of Delta Hotels Marriott Giardini Naxos have all been recently renovated, while the chic bedrooms enjoy balconies and stunning views. Start the day with a yoga session on the outdoor deck or a swim in the infinity pool overlooking the hotel’s private beach. Drinks are served on the pool terrace and in the lobby Delta bar, and you can sample Italian dishes at Panarea or local Sicilian food at La Sciara.
Renaissance Hotels debuts in Portugal with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel. Porto’s historic neighbourhood of Lapa is a vibrant setting for the hotel, with Lapa Church, Casa da Música and Torre dos Clérigos all within walking distance. The stylish rooms are bright with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows, while four suites on the uppermost floors have ocean-view balconies. Head to the new-build hotel’s top floor, where you’ll find a 17-metre infinity pool and the Sky Bar for locally inspired cocktails and snacks.
The first Aloft Hotels property in Oman, Aloft Muscat lies just ten minutes from Muscat airport and is conveniently located for attractions such as the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal Opera House Muscat. The hotel's modern rooms have plush platform beds and views across the city and mountains, with walk-in rainfall showers. Dine on Middle Eastern fusion cuisine at The Backstage or sample international street food at Arcade’s outdoor dining area. Re:Charge is the rooftop gym; on the same level you’ll find a splash pool for cooling off on a hot day.
In the chic Parisian neighbourhood of Boulogne-Billancourt, Le Parchamp, Paris Boulogne, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is the brand’s newest property. Set in a former Banque de France building, the hotel interior has been reimagined by designer Goddard Littlefair. With neutral tones and mixed textures, rooms feel sophisticated, and nod to the area’s history of French cinema production. You can admire Paris’ iconic cityscape from the rooftop before dining alfresco on Le Parchamp – La Table’s terrace.
The second Tribute Portfolio Hotel to open in Italy, Duo Milan Porta Nuova, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is based in Milan’s design, fashion and business hub. Italian architecture firm Il Prisma led the project, creating rooms that reference the hotel's urban setting with blocks of jewel-toned colours. Start the day with an espresso at the vibrant Duo Café, while the industrially styled Duo Bistrot restaurant offers a menu of Italian and international dishes.
